I make soaps, bath salts, fragrance oils, facial and body massage oils, Sabbat soaps and salts and personal accessories at my home in Northern Virginia with cruelty-free ingredients. I often donate to orginazations after creating a bar of soap that somehow symbolizes what they're doing to make a positive change in the world. I call this project Soap for Hope.

Things Zizuph Loves

Interests:

More than anything,
what I love is bonding,
learning,
and teaching! There is no greater satisfaction than enriching minds & hearts. I also love... Plants (Gardening & visiting gardens,
Herbcraft,
Folk Medicine and lore,
botanical photography,
historical illustration & medicinal uses of plants... basically anything to do with growing things on land or in the sea.) Pets & Wildlife (love our animal friends - don't eat them!) Places (which are seemingly untouched by,
or are honored by humans. I also have an interest in architecture.) Freedom (I hate modern political systems.) Traveling (I want to go everywhere... I have yet to even leave the states. It's incredibly depressing.) Creating (Vegetarian & seafood dishes) Physical Activities (Riding Horses - Hunter-Jumper and Dressage,
not western. In my youth I won several blue ribbons and a championship in junior hunter-jumper,
as well as placing in the Pony Club Regionals after my first -and only- dressage show. I am planning to start riding again after 13 years away from my first calling in life,
and could not be more excited,
nervous,
or hopeful.) Holistic-Folk-Alternative Healing Practices (I took a year of education at Jade Daniels Holistic Health Institute in 1997-8,
and have continued to teach myself other modalities though I must say I have fallen out of practice) Spirituality (I follow The Green Path of Witchcraft,
though I draw inspiration from other spiritual paths throughout the world.) Reading (unusual novels,
history,
psychology,
philosophy,
classic Faery tales,
fantasy) Music (listening to it of course,
and I will try to play any intrument I can get my hands on... as long as I am in a room by myself where no one else can hear. I have however made myself brave enough to play guitar in a few live bands,
and have played mandolin on the street. I compose on guitar,
bass and synthesizer.) Film (Don't get me started) There are also things I am interested in but not yet involved in,
such as Archery and several forms of Martial Arts.

Heroes:

Those who seek truth,
peace,
and sincerity... and find it within their own hearts. Those who fight for human and animal rights in honorable,
practical ways.

Teachers:

Everyone,
Everything... Including Myself. Poets,
warriors,
artists,
musicians,
activists,
friends,
lovers,
family members,
strangers... everyone has something to say. No matter where you find yourself,
value the words of the innocent and the jaded. After hearing both,
may you find balance,
truth,
and enlightenment.

Through my childhood and teenage years I mostly was interested in classics ranging from The Wizard of Oz and Miracle on 34th Street to Gone With The Wind to Kubrick's 'Shining' and '2001' to Hitchcock's 'To Catch A Theif' and 'Birds',
to Frankenstein and Dracula. In my mid-late teens my interest expanded into foreign and animation/stop-motion [Jean-Pierre Jeunet,
Svenkmajer]. I also enjoy anime,
and basically anything that isn't mindless dribble. Sure,
silly humour is good sometimes... but offensive,
stupid humour I can't bear. Example: Hot Fuzz = Great. White Chicks = watching the trailer in the theatre was intolerable. It makes me angry that so much money is being spent on negative influences like horrible movies.
